Broad Reach sailing is a Sailing School, based in the Solent at Gosport in Hampshire.  We’re committed to ensuring that you not only have the best tuition possible on your sailing course, but your time with us is both memorable and enjoyable. Our training vessel is almost brand new and equipped to the highest standard possible. Our instructors on all sailing courses are patient and supportive and they will ensure you get the most from the course you are attending. Whether you are a complete novice and haven’t sailed before, or an aspiring yacht master, we can guarantee that you will thoroughly enjoy your time with us. We offer a range of sailing courses from Day Skipper, Competent Crew, Yachtmaster Offshore or even mile builder sailing trips and all our sailing courses are recognised by the Royal Yacht Association or RYA as it’s better known.

Our RYA Sailing Courses are “all inclusive”, that means there are absolutely no extras to pay on arrival. We include all meals on board (and if you look at our Trip Advisor reviews, you’ll see the food’s good to and all meals on board means breakfast, lunch and all evening meals. All berthing costs and on-board accomodation are also included and we provide high quality Musto foul weather clothing should you require this.

RYA Competent Crew

Ideal for complete novices and for those that have done a little sailing before. At the end of your course you will be part of the crew!

RYA Day Skipper

Perfect for those with some yachting experience and a basic knowledge of navigation.The course will give you the skills to Skipper a yacht in tidal waters by day.

RYA Coastal Skipper

This course is aimed at more experienced sailors and focuses on advanced techniques and will give you the skills to skipper a yacht on coastal passages by day and night.

Refresher Sailing Course

This is ideal as a stepping stone between couses or just to brush up on existing skills. We can cover any aspect of any course from boat handling in the marina to complex navigation.

Yachtmaster Preparation

The preperation week aims to brush up on the skills required to help you pass your YM Offshore or YM Coastal practical exam. Normaly 6 days with the exam over the last 36 hours.

ICC Course & Exam

The ICC quailfication will allow you to charter abroad if you do already completed RYA Day Skipper or above. There is time to brush up on your skills while you are being assessed.
